VISIBILITY & TRACKING CHALLENGES

Multimodal Shipment Visibility & Tracking Challenges

Throughout the international logistics community, there's a persistent struggle to keep an accurate tab on the location, status, and condition of cargo as it navigates the global supply chain.

Limited Information — Visibility & tracking information is often limited by outdated systems, lack of real-time updates, or limited access to tracking data from carriers or lgistics partners.

Poor Coordination and Communication — The multiple parties involved in the shipping process, including carriers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, etc., lead to challenges in receiving accurate, up-to-date visibility & tracking information due to communication exchange gaps and delays.

Inaccurate and Unreliable — Issues like delayed or inconsistent updates, incorrect location reporting, or discrepancies in data provided by different tracking systems adversely impact reliability of visibility & tracking information.

Incompatibilities — Digital data incompatibility issues, lack of standardized tracking protocols, or the need to integrate multiple tracking platforms also makes it challenging.

Antiquated & Labor-Intensive Employee Tracking Methods — Logistics employees with Track & Trace (T&T) responsibility rely on paper, faxes, emails, incomplete or inaccurate TMS data—and their phones—to "chase down" shipment disposition information. Valuable employee payroll hours are consumed as they web surf, seeking shipment disposition information. And once shipment status data is in hand, employees typically perform manual TMS data entry—then update their clients by email, text, or even phone.

THE AES MULTIMODAL CONTAINER TRACKING SOLUTION
NeuralTRAX Logo

As a global data aggregator, neuralTRAX™ continuously acquires, aggregates, processes, and consolidates data from real-time and non-real-time shipment data—specific to an Ocean Bill-of-Lading
( OBOL ), from hundreds of static & non-static global data sources that include over 200+ countries, 500+ port terminals, 100+ steamship lines & NVOCC providers, drayage companies, customs agencies, and all North American Railways.

Using these multiple data sources, neuralTRAX™ then analyzes, processes, and generates shipment status results with unrivaled enhanced accuracy.

The neuralTRAX™ processed shipment status results are then typically transmitted ( API/EDI ) to a client software system, or Supply Chain Control Tower, where the enhanced disposition data populates user data portals.

Once integrated into a client system, neuralTRAX™ shipment tracking data ensures our clients realize hard-dollar savings through increased efficiencies & billing accuracy, employee staff & task reductions, bottleneck identification—and reductions in costly demurrage, detention, and claims charges.

CLIENT BUSINESS VALUES

Track all shipments using the AES neuralTRAX™ portal or via API/EDI

The neuralTRAX™ portal is a centralized web-based platform and management summary resource that dynamically shows client data, trends, KPIs, etc. Users can enjoy a “50,000-foot” shipment disposition overview, or can drill down for granular information about a particular unit of shipment data. And it's completely customizable.

Whether you're trying to manage out-of-control demurrage & storage charges, reduce internal labot costs , gain task efficiencies , flag pending off-schedule and out-of-location shipments, identify shipment life-cycle event & milestones , etc., neuralTRAX™ has your solution—comprehensive, accurate, and timely shipment disposition data.

Below are examples of the substantial Client Business Values that AES brings to our clients.

Labor Cost

Labor Cost & Task Reductions

  • Clients can substantially reduce employee headcount costs & task redundancies—while reducing other costs associated with tracking multimodal shipments.
  • Clients receive neuralTRAX™ shipment data via the AES portal or EDI, API or structured data files.
Demurrage & Storage

Demurrage & Storage Reductions

  • neuralTRAX™ populates client shipment management systems with timely, accurate shipment disposition data.
  • Clients then receive pending Demurrage & Storage deadline info—helping clients avoid costly charges.
Manage By Exception

Manage by Exception Automation

  • Track all shipments using neuralTRAX™—instead of using hundreds of carrier & terminal websites.
  • Manage from the neuralTRAX™ web portal.
  • Reduce customer service & operations headcount.
  • Staff makes fewer customer service calls & emails.
Claims & Dispute

Claims & Dispute Reductions

  • neuralTRAX™ serves as an evidentiary shipment life-cycle & milestone database—with time, location, and data stamps.
  • Clients use this data to resolve disputes between trading parties in less time & at reduced costs.
Business Interruption

Business Interruption Reductions

  • neuralTRAX™ helps shippers flag pending Off-Schedule and Out-of-Location shipments.
  • It also helps identify parties responsible for disruptions, while creating opportunities to minimize the impact of disruptions through corrective action.
